Marissa has been a part of the competitive dance world for eleven years now. She started her training at Element Dance Arts from 2012- 2021 in Cambridge. She trained in Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acro. Marissa has specialized in Hip-Hop and was a part of the GMS “Get Mad Syndicate” where she trained professionally for competitions and community events. Marissa has competed in many local and national level competitions and has won various overall and special awards. She now attends Brock University for Concurrent Education and continues her competitive dance career with her team, the Niagara Dance Pak. Marissa began teaching at the age of 16 and has taught ages 4-21 in all styles of dance and levels. Marissa is now a professional dancer for the Niagara River Lions basketball team and continues to grow and learn every day through this opportunity. Marissa has a strong passion for dance and is so excited to join this team to share her passion and dance with her students.
