Maria started her dance career at three years old and has been competing since she was eight years old. She continued dancing all through her university career where she was a part of Guelph
University’s competitive and recreational programs. Maria is trained in all styles congruent with Peak’s offerings, with a special taking to teaching Jazz and Acrobatics. As for teaching, she started in grade 9, teaching at her studio, as well as for her high school team and feeder elementary schools, which then continued into her university team and studios in Guelph. Maria has received many choreography awards throughout the years for her contributions to the various competitive programs she has been a part of. Maria has been a part of Team Canada for Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop throughout the years, which allowed her to compete in Europe. Maria has also danced within the community for many different plays, shows, charity events and ceremonies. She has also
participated in many workshops, which has allowed her to grow her dance repertoire, being taught by some of the world’s most favourite choreographers. She cannot wait for is what to come with Peak Dance Company and is so excited to help these dancers grow.
