Since she was a baby, dance has always been a part of Cristina’s life. Some of her first memories are watching her older sisters in dance class and at competitions. It was at the age of two that Cristina started her first dance class. At five years old, she was invited to be part of her studio's junior competitive group and by the age of ten, Cristina was in her studio's Company/Competitive dance group. She has trained in a range of genres such as Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Hip-Hop, Acro, Bolly-Jazz, Song & Dance and Musical Theatre. Although Cristina loves all styles of dance, she received top scores and various awards at many dance competitions for her work in Musical Theatre dances, not only within her groups but in trios, duos and solos. Throughout Cristina's thirteen years of being a competitive dancer some of her achievements at competition include, highest scoring solo overall, first place medals/trophies, judges pick award, most promising award, most outstanding award, most entertaining awards, top-scoring solo & duo, cash prizes and dance scholarships. Through dance, Cristina has had several opportunities to participate in shows and events in B.C. such as Broadway’s Singing Christmas Tree, Christmas Extravaganza at Queen Elizabeth Theatre and the Canada Day

Celebration at the Pacific Colosseum, B.C. Movie Leo Awards, and the 2010 Paralympic Games. She was also a member of Ivivva and Lululemon’s Dance and Modeling team. Cristina’s passion for the arts lead her to take part in an Acting and Modeling convention in LA where she competed in both dancing and acting and placed second overall. Cristina’s love for dance extends past being able to compete and perform herself. She started assisting in dance classes at the age of 14, first helping with younger kids' ballet. From there Cristina grew a passion for working with young children. At the age of 16 Cristina was teaching her own dance classes including Wee ballet, beginner Jazz, and beginner Tap while also assisting in Musical Theatre classes. Her love for children has encouraged her to pursue a career as a Paediatric/Neonatal Nurse which she is currently studying at Brock University. Cristina is very excited to join the Peak Dance Company and meet new young students that she can share her love of dance with.
